CURRENT ROLE 

Ken works solely with clients in the public sector and specializes in providing accounting and finance solutions to community mental health authorities, school districts, municipalities, and counties. Additionally, Ken has a significant audit background specializing in federal grant compliance and financial reporting.

EXPERIENCE 

Ken began his career in public accounting in 2011 when he joined Rehmann. He has significant experience with consulting, compliance and financial reporting for counties, cities, school districts, authorities, and related not-for-profit organizations. Due to the number of single audits Ken has been involved with, he is considered a firm-wide resource in this area. 

A CLOSER LOOK 

  • Ken is working with several CMHs to implement complex state requirements related to standard cost allocation and the related impacts on state and financial reporting. 
  • As part of the team that performed the initial audit for a newly formed governmental entity, Ken was able to walk the client through the audit process and help them draft their initial Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. 
  • Keeping up-to-date on the latest industry standards, Ken is a member of the AICPA, MICPA, MSBO and MGFOA. 
  • Ken is actively involved in training events, both internally and outside the firm, for various topics including yellow-book, Single Audit Act compliance reporting, and technology improvement topics.
