Rehmann Welcomes Melissa Rood as New CFO Consultant

Rehmann, a fully integrated professional and financial services and advisory firm, is pleased to welcome Melissa C. Rood as a CFO consultant. Rood will serve the firm’s South East Michigan region and will work with Rehmann’s manufacturing clients.

“Melissa has more than 20 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, including the automotive, plastics, paper, and steel product fields,” said Tom Shemanski, principal of finance and accounting solutions at Rehmann. “We are thrilled to have her on board and look forward to the knowledge she will bring to our manufacturing practice group.”

After 12 years with a private equity-owned steel productions manufacturer, Rood joins Rehmann to focus on fractional CFO roles and projects, internal costing and customer quoting services, financial and system improvements, and business assessments and valuations.

“My work history offers a unique perspective that I look forward to bringing to the Rehmann team,” Rood said. “I am committed to working diligently to help my clients meet their business objectives.”

An active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Rood also participates in the Eastern Michigan Manufacturers Association and Rehmann’s plastics group. Rood is a graduate of Walsh College with a B.S. in Accountancy.
