Rehmann Honored by the Michigan Association of CPAs with MICPA Firmz “Coolest Cribz” and Empower Awards
Rehmann is pleased to announce it has been recognized by the Michigan Association of CPAs (MICPA) with two awards: the MICPA Firmz “Coolest Cribz in Michigan” award and the MICPA Empower Award. These awards emphasize the firm’s commitment to putting people first and creating an inclusive workplace culture.
The MICPA Firmz “Coolest Cribz” award celebrates exceptional workplace design and innovative office environments. Rehmann’s submission featured its office in Detroit’s historic Farwell Building, which pairs classical architectural character with modern functionality, including Zoom-integrated collaboration spaces, an open-concept lounge and a rooftop terrace with skyline views used for office and client events.
Designed to honor organizations that cultivate a people-first culture, the MICPA Empower Award highlights commitment to professional growth, well-being and workplace inclusion. Rehmann was celebrated for advancing work-life balance and equity through key internal groups, including its Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. The firm promotes modern workplace flexibility with hybrid options, telecommuting, paid volunteer time and floating holidays. Rehmann’s well-being framework covers five key pillars (mental, physical, financial, social/community, and career), supported by annual virtual Well-Being Weeks, the Vitality digital platform and targeted support tools. Associate engagement is further driven by initiatives like the Diversity Action Council (DAC), The Rehmann Foundation and “Fun Force” engagement committees across all 23 offices.
“Being recognized by MICPA for both of these honors reflects the heart of Rehmann, our people and our culture,” said Stacie Kwaiser, CEO of Rehmann. “Whether it’s through creating intentional spaces like our Detroit office or expanding well-being and inclusion programs, our priority is ensuring our team feels valued, supported and empowered.”
Rehmann’s commitment to associate experience has also earned national recognition, including eight consecutive years on the AccountingMOVE Project’s Best CPA Firms for Women and Equity Leadership, four consecutive years on the National Best and Brightest in Wellness list and 19 consecutive years as one of Metro Detroit’s and West Michigan’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.
“At Rehmann, we believe an extraordinary associate experience drives exceptional client service,” said Holly Shier, Chief Marketing Officer for Rehmann. “Receiving recognition for both our modern, collaborative spaces and for being an inclusive workspace that prioritizes employee well-being highlights how we are evolving the modern workplace. It’s an honor to see our team’s commitment to innovation and community recognized on such a prominent state stage.”
