Rehmann Announces July, 2022 Promotions

Rehmann, a fully integrated professional advisory firm, has announced it is celebrating the promotion of nearly 60 associates throughout its 17 offices.
“We pride ourselves in preparing our associates for success and encouraging them to take the next steps in their careers to reach their goals,” said Stacie Kwaiser, chief operating officer and CEO-Elect of Rehmann. “This large group of individuals has shown great growth, and we are looking forward to the talent they will bring to their new roles.” The promotions include:

  • Theresa Buchanan – Troy – Advisory & Tax Senior Manager: Theresa understands the details of each client’s business to provide customized suggestions that meet their needs. She offers various tax consulting services to include income tax planning, projection, and preparation services for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. She mainly services the real estate and construction industries.
  • PJ Dienes – Ann Arbor – Advisory & Tax Senior Manager: PJ provides tax planning and review services for individuals, trusts, corporations, and pass-through entities. He has significant knowledge of multi-state and international taxation, enabling him to serve businesses with complex structures as well as athletes and entertainers. Many of his clients are corporations in the manufacturing industry.
  • Magdalena Hunt – Cheboygan – Advisory & Tax Senior Manager: Magdalena provides federal and multistate income tax compliance and consulting services to a broad range of businesses and individuals. Many of these clients are in the manufacturing, retail, and service industries.
  • Julie Kowalsky – Farmington Hills – Advisory & Tax Senior Manager: As a firm-wide resource for estate, trust and gift tax matters, Julie is highly skilled in the Advisory and Tax Services group. She provides accounting, compliance and planning services to estate, trust and individual clients, and assists with the administration of estates or trusts.
  • Ryan Moretti – Ann Arbor – Advisory & Tax Senior Manager: Ryan provides tax planning, consulting and compliance services to his clients, including individuals, passthrough entities, and corporations in a variety of industries. He is a member of the Firm’s Tax Mergers & Acquisitions team, assisting clients and their attorneys during the process of selling or acquiring a business by providing clarity on the tax and cash flow impacts and helping to negotiate the best possible deal.
  • Himanshu Puri – Farmington Hills – Advisory & Tax Senior Manager: Many of Himanshu’s clients are in the manufacturing, services and real estate industries. He works with a variety of individuals, partnerships, S corporations and C corporations, providing tax planning and compliance services to entities that range from closely-held businesses to large multi-state and consolidated entities.
  • Melissa Rausch – Ann Arbor – Advisory & Tax Senior Manager: Melissa works with families with individual, trust and flow-through entities, bringing an objective “big picture” perspective which enables her to act in her clients’ best interest. She has a strong understanding of the complexities involved in family/business taxation and how various returns are linked.
  • Sarah Rock – Troy – Advisory & Tax Senior Manager: Sarah provides a variety of tax planning, compliance and consulting services to businesses and high-net worth individuals, with a special focus on partnerships in the real estate sector, and has experience working on complex multi-state and international tax compliance matters. She is a member of Rehmann’s Tax Policies and Procedures Committee and also manages the Tax Internship Program for our Metro 3 Region. She is passionate about delivering superior client service and is actively involved in associate training, engagement, and development.
  • Danielle Thornberry – Troy –Advisory & Tax Senior Manager: Danielle serves clients in the areas of consulting, accounting, and tax. She takes a collaborative and personalized approach to build a customized team of specialist to help clients achieve their objectives.
  • Corrin Day – Jackson – Assurance Senior Manager: Corrin serves as a liaison between clients on government assurance engagements team and supervises staff to ensure timely completion. She communicates with clients throughout the engagement and is committed to answering questions in a timely manner and creating an experience that is as stress-free as possible.
  • Dan Merritt – Ann Arbor – Assurance Senior Manager: Dan is a member of the Public Sector Assurance group and manages a wide range of assurance and consulting engagements. Dan provides client services that include external audit, grant compliance, financial statement review, and consulting. He works extensively with municipalities, counties, school districts, and special purpose governments. Dan believes in approaching problem solving with a solutions-oriented mindset, promoting transparency through high quality financial reporting, and providing great client service through effective communication.
  • Chris Plaskewicz – Grand Rapids – Assurance Senior Manager: Chris, a member of Rehmann’s audit and assurance team, provides financial statement audit and consulting services to a broad range of financial institutions, with a focus on community banks and credit unions.
  • Amanda Shreve – Toledo – Assurance Senior Manager: Amanda supervises audit, review and compilation engagements for closely-held businesses, focusing on manufacturing and construction industries and employee benefit plan audits. She serves as a technical liaison between clients and Rehmann associates and assists with agreed-upon procedure engagements and financial statement preparation.
  • Mary Boyle – Farmington Hills – Senior Manager Global Service Desk: Mary believes Rehmann’s people are its greatest asset. She manages Rehmann’s internal IT service desk day to day operations, ensuring world class customer service and service-level agreements are met. She facilitates IT’s involvement in office moves and acquisitions, manages IT assets and process improvement within IT.
  • Maher Faik – Detroit – Accounting Solutions Senior Manager: Maher works in Rehmann’s solutions department as a trusted business advisor; focusing on serving clients with a comprehensive and unique approach to support their organization’s overall management needs. Maher helps to ensure that clients’ needs are met through the array of services Rehmann offers. Being in the restaurant and real estate business, Maher has first-hand experience on solutions needed to create and sustain a successful business.
  • Zackary Keck – Grandville – Director of Managed Services (Senior Manager level): Zack leads Rehmann Technology Solutions Managed Solutions Team, overseeing client satisfaction, solution development, financial performance, and the teams that support our managed service offerings.
  • Erinn Trask – Grand Rapids – Public Sector Solutions Senior Manager: Erinn provides accounting services, consultation, report preparation, and department oversight to governmental clients. Her depth of experience utilizing technology tools, such as Excel and IDEA, enables her to create advanced formulas to convert and prepare client reports, perform analytics, and create efficiencies.
