He specializes in serving mid-size companies with assurance services such as reviews and audits. Additionally, he assists his clients with complex tax and succession planning, review of internal control procedures and operational profitability.

Experience

Joe has experience working in both public and private sectors. Notably, he was a division head of the compliance and audit department for Progressive Insurance, a $45 billion Fortune 100 company. He has extensive experience working with clients across various industries, including construction, healthcare, manufacturing, professional services and distribution.

Joe holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and works as the facilitator of his client’s financial and legal advisors, ensuring all advisors are working toward developing the best plan for the client. He has a detailed understanding of compensation packages, qualified and non-qualified plans that are used in succession, retirement, and estate planning.

Prior to joining Rehmann, Joe was a managing partner with Martinet Recchia, which combined with Rehmann in 2025 to offer an expanded level of service.
