Current Role

Bill is our lead investigator on embezzlement and financial fraud cases. His forensic accounting team has uncovered tens of millions of dollars in fraud resulting in numerous criminal convictions. Bill’s work covers all industries from government to healthcare, and includes everything from business disputes to bank fraud. His expertise is a valuable tool in documenting and preparing cases for litigation.

Experience

Bill served 29 years as a Special Agent with the Detroit Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), retiring in 2005. He has more than 40 years of experience supervising and working on complex white collar crime investigations, including financial institution and healthcare fraud, as well as investigating environmental crimes for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Bill also supervised the Applicant Program while with the Detroit FBI which included background investigations on Special Agent applicants, support personnel and Presidential appointments.

Prior to joining Rehmann, Bill was the Investigations Manager at Comerica Bank in Auburn Hills, Michigan, for over 4 years. He managed both internal and external investigations for the bank’s Michigan, Texas, California, Arizona and Florida locations. Bill was also employed at Coopers and Lybrand in Indianapolis, Indiana for two years following college graduation. He became a CPA in the state of Indiana in 1978.
