Dan oversees audits and reviews for clients in the commercial, manufacturing, distribution and service industries. He assists with employee benefit plan audits and merger and acquisition due diligence special projects, performing a variety of accounting functions. He is a member of Rehman’s audit and assurance training committee.

Experience

Dan has serviced his clients since 2007 and joined Rehmann in 2013 as part of our combination with Spilman, Hills & Heidebrink, Ltd. He has vast experience with commercial clients of all sizes and is experienced in defined contribution, defined benefit, 403(b) and employee stock ownership plans, as well as agreed-upon procedures and consulting engagements.

• Dan leads firm-wide internal audit and assurance trainings. Topics have included accounts receivable, inventory, prepaid assets, revenue recognition and management approaches.
• A dedicated and proactive advisor, Dan helps clients navigate new lease standards by explaining how their business will be affected and sharing examples of future balance statements and income sheets. Ask how he can help you prepare for implementation.
• Dan graduated from the Leadership Toledo program, which increases awareness of community matters and encourages volunteerism. He currently serves on the organization’s board and is a member of the finance, governance and executive committees.
