Drawing on his extensive entrepreneurial experience, Chris leads a team of advisors with highly specialized skills to continuously enhance the firm’s client service capabilities. He is passionate about investing the necessary time and resources to make client satisfaction a priority. His daily interactions with clients influence administrative decisions to ensure a culture of continuous improvement that benefits clients. Clients often lean on Chris as a sounding board as they make strategic decisions.

Experience

Chris began his career in public accounting in 1986. His experience includes providing accounting, tax, financial planning and business consulting services to family-owned and closely-held businesses, their shareholders and officers, as well as publicly-held companies. He has done extensive work with agribusiness, construction, retail, hospitality, high-technology, engineering, manufacturing, professional services, and oil and gas industry clients, as well as high net worth individuals.

Chris is a member of the Tax, Personal Financial Services, and Chartered Global Management Accountant divisions of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

  • Chris has helped multiple clients, from mid-size specialty manufacturers to large wholesalers, structure merger and acquisition transactions that have resulted in seven figure tax savings.
  • Chris is actively involved in his community, serving as finance committee chair of TraverseCONNECT, as a member of the Grand Traverse Area Estate Planning Council, and as past chair of the Traverse Bay Economic Development Corporation. He is a board member of the President Ford Field Service Council for Boys Scouts of America and sits on the board nominating committee.
