Current Role

Ben’s focus is on building Rehmann’s technology consulting practice to serve our clients with the best IT engineering talent and project management in the industry. As director of professional services, he leads the professional services and project management teams and provides strategic direction for engineering across all Rehmann offices.

Ben values the trust our clients place in us and the opportunity to partner with them on setting strategic direction for their IT organizations. He strives every day to help clients achieve their business goals using modern technology.

Experience

Ben has decades of IT experience, much of that time in leadership roles. He has worked with organizations to manage their IT environments, develop technology roadmaps, and to align new technology with overall business strategy. He has overseen hundreds of on-premises, cloud-based, and outsourced projects for enterprise environments and small/mid-sized businesses alike. With previous IT experience in accounting, legal, healthcare/insurance, and various other environments serving many different industries and verticals, he has a diverse background and perspective.

Prior to joining Rehmann in 2018, Ben held positions including director of information technology for a regional accounting firm, service delivery lead at another managed services provider, and several high-end engineering roles where he managed projects and developed technical solutions for clients.

A Closer Look

  • Ben is involved in his community, serving as board chair of the Grand Rapids Lions Club and leading the group’s technology committee. The club has given over $1.5 million in the past 15 years to vision-related causes in West Michigan.
  • Ben serves on Ferris State University’s Advisory Board for their CIS/CIT degree programs, supporting administration and faculty with insight into new technology, industry trends, and business practices. He is also a member of Grand Rapids Community College’s CIS Advisory Committee in a similar capacity.
  • Ben serves as Scholarship Program Chair for Western Michigan Mensa, part of a nationwide program that awards more than $170,000 annually to deserving college students.
