Experience

Mary Lou has more than 15 years of experience with accounting, tax and audit for professional services practices, including medical, dental and attorney practices. Her tax experience includes preparing state and federal corporate, partnership and individual taxes, sales and use taxes, payroll taxes, and property taxes.

Mary Lou has acted as an outsourced controller for a mortgage and title company, served as an interim controller for a medical practice and took over the CFO duties of a large medical group to assist in winding down their practice after a sale. This work included determining final physician compensation, budgeting for the two-year wind-down process, completing the final required payroll and tax forms, and assisting with the process of closing the retirement plan.

Prior to joining a public accounting firm, Mary Lou served as controller for two professional services firms.
