Current Role

Jim leads the firm’s dealership services group, which serves automobile, RV, marine and powersport dealerships throughout Michigan, Ohio and Florida. He has extensive experience providing business planning, consulting and tax services to dealerships, manufacturers, professional service providers and individuals.

Jim regularly assists with mergers and acquisitions and succession planning engagements. He also works closely with clients to ensure they are aware of and taking necessary steps to implement new tax reform standards.

Experience

Jim’s public accounting career began in 1983 at Goerlich, Richert & Kaiser, PLLC, following four years as an accountant at Commercial & Savings Bank. In 1991, Jim became a partner at Goerlich, Richert and Kaiser, serving individual and business clients in a variety of industries, while focusing on automobile dealerships.

Jim joined Rehmann in January 2012 as part of our combination with Goerlich, Richert & Kaiser.
