Campus Recruiting

At Rehmann, Put People First is not just a saying; it’s our most important value. Your professional pursuits and personal passions are essential, and celebrated, when you join the team. When our associates are engaged, challenged, and fulfilling their purpose, we believe everyone – clients, the community, team members, the entire Firm – benefits.

We are always looking for talented people who we can help achieve their full potential. By providing opportunities to learn and grow, while discovering what you’re most passionate about, we develop compassionate leaders and a purpose-driven team.

Our recruiting team meets with students throughout the year to fill our leadership programs, internships, and full-time entry-level positions. If Rehmann sounds like a good fit for you, you can contact a recruiter directly. You can also view our recruiting timeline and what opportunities you might be eligible for in the chart below.

Internships

We treat our interns as staff-level associates, empowering them with meaningful work to encourage growth in both soft and technical skills. The experience is focused on ensuring our interns are exposed to a variety of work and clients, to help them identify their passion and purpose.

Rehmann hosts interns throughout the year, with each internship requiring a 40+ hour commitment per week. Each experience is unique, depending on the time of year, the service line, and the intern’s home office. The firm typically offers the following opportunities:

  • January – April:  Assurance internships, tax internships
  • May – August:  Assurance internships
  • August – December:  Assurance internships with a governmental focus

Minimum requirements

The minimum requirements to apply to a Rehmann internship include:

  • Pursuit of an accounting major and CPA license
  • Successful completion of Intermediate Financial Accounting I by the start of the internship
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher

Application process

To apply for a Rehmann internship, keep an eye on the Rehmann Careers page  and your school's campus job board for our postings.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Campus Recruiting Team is typically on campus in January, February, March, September, and October. Connect with your college's career services department to learn about which events we have coming up or contact a Rehmann recruiter directly!

Resumes are unique and will likely look different for every candidate. Primarily, we want to see a clean, easy-to-read, well-formatted single-page document that briefly shares all of the work/professional/volunteer/educational experiences that you believe have taught you something valuable. If you are looking to join Rehmann in a full-time CPA capacity, we do prefer that you have all 150 credits and all your degrees fully completed before your full-time start date. However, we do not expect that you have received your license nor started the CPA exam before your first day.

As soon as candidates sign a full-time offer letter with Rehmann, they are eligible to receive Becker CPA Exam Prep materials for free. Those who finish all 4 parts of the exam within one year from their initial full-time start date will receive a $5,000 bonus. In addition, Rehmann reimburses associates for exam fees (with some conditions) and allows associates up to 5 days of paid time off specifically to study for the exam.

Rehmann hosts almost all its internships in the assurance and tax service lines; however, some other service lines and business functions will occasionally host interns as well. All available opportunities will appear on Rehmann's Careers page.

Rehmann does not require any sort of specific experience before beginning an internship with us. However, we strongly prefer that you have had at least some general work experience (customer service, food service, on-campus employment, etc.). Previous accounting experience is not required.

Most interns will work 40-65 hours per week, depending on the season. The type of work will vary by service line; however, we do provide interns with staff-level work to present a clear understanding of what a full-time career at the Firm will entail. The experience will include all the formal and informal training needed to set you up for success.

Most internships are focused on only one service line to allow a fully immersed experience and significant understanding of how that service line fits your skillset. However, we encourage interns to network and shadow associates across service lines during the internship.

We highly suggest taking off a winter semester of college to invest in an internship instead. As most public accounting deadlines fall between January-April, this season tends to contain the most robust internship experience.

The ideal intern candidate will:

  • Embrace and seek leadership qualities
  • Thrive in team environments
  • Value high-end client service
  • Possess strong critical thinking skills
  • Adapt to new technology quickly
  • Have strong, hands-on Microsoft Excel skills

To apply for a position, visit Rehmann's Careers page and your college job board. When Rehmann is seeking intern or entry-level candidates, we will post positions in either or both of those arenas. In addition, if you attend a college at which we recruit, we highly encourage visiting the Rehmann team at on-campus events. A conversation with our team is a great supplement to a formal online application.
