Michael is a Principal with Rehmann and is based in the firm’s Boca Raton office.
Michael has practiced public accounting in South Florida since 1974. He joined Rehmann in 2013.
Michael has more than 40 years of extensive experience in litigation, consulting and tax controversy representation. He has provided litigation services for both plaintiffs and defendants, including expert testimony in numerous jurisdictions, in a broad range of matters including family law, stockholder actions, multi-million dollar financial damages and lost profits, fraud detection, criminal and civil tax matters, breach of fiduciary duty, employment disputes and accountant malpractice. Several of his cases have gained national recognition. Additionally, he provides management consulting and training services for companies, professional practices and organizations.
Michael’s credentials are substantial. A partial list includes: Chair of the Valuation, Forensic Accounting and Litigation Services Section of the FICPA; Chairperson of the Committee for Valuation and Litigation Services; Top CPA in Litigation Support in the South Florida Legal Guide in 2009-2013; South Florida Business Leader Magazine’s 2010 IMPACT Leaders Award; a frequent speaker at national conferences for accountants and attorneys; member of the Editorial Review Panels of the Journal of Accountancy and Florida CPA Today; facilitator of an award-winning seminar, Ethical Decision Making in the Workplace and Society, and he is a certified ethics instructor for the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Michael is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified in Financial Forensics, Certified Information Technology Professional, and a Certified Forensic Consultant.
