Matthew is a Principal in the Tax Department of Rehmann. He is located in the Traverse City office.
Since 1998, Matthew has been providing tax consulting and compliance services to broad range of clients, with a focus on family-owned and closely-held business and their owners. Matthew has experience in federal and state taxation matters in the fields of real estate, construction, manufacturing and retailing, as well as those of high net worth individuals. He is a member of the Firm's Real Estate and Construction Industry Groups.
Matthew is also responsible for the firm's cost recovery consulting services. He focuses on technical issues regarding property capitalization and depreciation, particularly as they relate to cost segregation studies. Matthew has been a featured speaker for national webcasts on the topics of federal tax depreciation and federal energy-related tax incentives.
Upon graduation from Walsh College, Matthew received the Research Institute of America Graduate Tax Award for outstanding academic work and contribution to the college.
