John is a principal with the tax department of Rehmann and is based in the Muskegon office. He serves as a regional tax director and a member of the Firm's board of directors.


John began his career in public accounting 1985. Prior to joining Rehmann, John was a co-founder of accounting and consulting firm Pridnia LaPres, PLLC in Muskegon. John has also served as a tax partner with a national accounting and consulting firm in Southeast Michigan and West Michigan. John has extensive experience in the areas of tax and accounting for corporate enterprises and high net worth individuals. He regularly serves as an advisor to individuals and businesses for a wide variety of general business, family wealth and tax planning matters including the structuring of acquisition/disposition of business enterprises to maximize after-tax cash flow. His close association with taxpayers in an advisory role requires a high level of understanding of many business’ operations and industry standards to assist in the business decision-making process, wealth preservation and income tax planning.
