Dick is a principal with Rehmann's Accounting, Tax and Consulting team and is located in the Grand Rapids office.
Dick's practice focuses tax and accounting services for business owners. His experience includes assisting clients, attorneys and judiciary in litigation analysis, particularly oriented towards valuation and damage measurement. He provides business, individual and estate tax advice, as well as planning for business transfers and I.R.S. representation. Over his career, Dick has been qualified as an expert witness in several courts, and has served as a mediator. He has also handled complex tax audits, both civil and criminal, and been involved in the sales and purchases of businesses.
Dick began his career as an Assistant Attorney for the City of Grand Rapids before beginning his public accounting career with a regional CPA firm. Prior to joining Rehmann, he was the founding partner of Cummins, Faber PC for more than 20 years, and was also a shareholder with Echelbarger, Himebaugh, Tamm & Cummins, P.C. For several years.
Dick was also an Associate Professor of Taxation at Grand Valley State University where he taught graduate and undergraduate courses.
