Valerie is the corporate Director of Recruitment and she is based in our Lansing office.
Valerie joined the firm in 1998 as a Human Resource Representative. Her responsibilities included all exempt and non-exempt level recruiting, which included ad placement, resume screening, interviewing candidates and recommending final candidates for hire. She was also the point person for all campus recruiting activities and external recruiter relations. Valerie was promoted in July of 1999 to Manager of Recruiting. Her responsibilities included recruiting all exempt level positions, tracking recruiting effectiveness, forecasting future staffing needs, formalizing the recruiting process, and supervising the non-exempt recruiting and campus recruiting activities. In January 2002, Valerie was promoted to Manager of Human Resources, becoming the point person for administering the compensation and promotion processes. She also took a more active role in employee relations and policy administration. In 2005, Valerie was promoted to Director of Recruitment, where she oversees the firm’s corporate recruiting function and works with senior management on continuously improving our processes. Prior to joining Rehmann, Valerie spent two years as a Staffing Manager for Robert Half International, Lansing, Michigan.
Valerie is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resource Management from the Society for Human Resources Management and as a Human Resource Generalist by the American Society of Employers.
